Cracking day at Croham Hurst

The Society's annual visit to Croham Hurst returned to its traditional spring date with 11 Society members taking on the hosts in a competitive but always friendly match which we won by the margin of 4/2. This means that Martin Butcher was able to reclaim the trophy and, as a member himself of Croham, the bragging rights with his fellow members.

The course itself was in excellent condition allowing some excellent golf to be played and there were some very tight matches across the board. Lunch was lovely and the company tremendous. Our thanks as always to Richard Fawcett and his team for making us feel so welcome all day and we very much look forward to returning next year. If you have not played at Croham Hurst before, you should. Its a great track and a great experience.

The Society side was Martin Butcher, Neil Burns, Richard Baker, John Shepherd, Chris Goldie, Stuart Waterton, Jon Hardy, Ted Rose, Guy McDonnell and two new members, Chris Hellings and Adam Ball.
